Amanda Lucas Therapy

Meet Amanda

Hello! As a therapist and licensed clinical social worker, my goal is to create a nurturing and inclusive space where you feel truly supported. My practice is affirming, strengths-based, and rooted in an anti-oppressive framework. I specialize in individual therapy for adults (18+), helping people navigate:

  • Anxiety & Depression

  • Trauma (including PTSD/Complex PTSD)

  • ADHD

  • Stress

  • Grief & Loss

  • Life Transitions

  • Relationship Challenges & Attachment Issues

Specialized Training and Evidence-Based Practices

I’ve received specialized training in assessing the neurodevelopmental impact of trauma on our brains, bodies, and emotions. This knowledge helps me understand the unique challenges you may face and allows me to provide support that is tailored to your needs.

In our work together, I incorporate evidence-based treatments such as:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Mindfulness

  • Relational Attachment Therapy

  • Self-Compassion

  • Somatic Therapy

My Approach to Therapy

Therapy is a powerful tool for navigating life’s challenges and fostering personal growth. I take a holistic approach that honors the mind-body connection, recognizing the nervous system’s role in overall healing.

My style is direct, empathetic, and collaborative—I provide a supportive space while also challenging you in ways that encourage meaningful growth and lasting change.

You’re not alone.
